But there&#8217;s no, like, oversight on my part so i literally just get to sit down with people and be like &#8220;ok let&#8217;s talk about what tools can make your job easier&#8221; and then I just&#8230;build stuff specifically for those people, and how their brains and jobs and hands work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">and it&#8217;s kind of rewarding to empower people in that small way, when so much of our jobs and experiences are like&#8230;comporting ourselves to a best-practices (if we&#8217;re lucky) generality<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">like&#8230;here is a space where this can be what you want it to be, what makes sense to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">(this obviously is not ideal from a scale or maintenance or a million other standpoints, but for the ten people in my office I think they appreciate it)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">(copied and pasted from discord where I posted a link to <a href=\"https:\/\/32bit.cafe\/cyowebsite\/\">https:\/\/32bit.cafe\/cyowebsite\/<\/a> (via a repost by stu on bksy) and then thought about it<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>part of what keeps me from going all in on Making a Website is I do sort of have a creative web outlet in my day job, part of which is the building and maintenance of an asp.net webapp for research administration.
